Welcome to the MUC!
The Rules:
Note that this is not a comprehensive list. Our moderators reserve the right to remove anything we deem inappropriate.
- Do not post copyright-infringing material, illegal content, or promote other illegal/nefarious activities.
- Keep things family friendly. In other words, we want to keep the site G rated. This applies to any text, images, audio, or combinations thereof.
- Refrain from sharing personal information about others, and think before sharing personal information about yourself. Once you post something online, you may not be able to take it back, and we want everyone to stay safe here.
- Do not ping people excessively, or cold ping staff. Once is enough. If we don’t answer right away, we’re probably busy and don’t appreciate the interruptions.
- Do not spam. This includes advertising and self promotion, unless you actually offer a service that is relevant to the topic / forum you post in and said service may be of use to our users. Spammers are annoying and will be dealt with.
- Stay on topic for the forum or thread you are in. If there is no topic for what you want to talk about, and you’ve checked using the search feature at the top of the forum, you can create a new topic.
- Do not cross post questions or comments. All cross posting does is create clutter and confusion, and we don’t want to clean up your mess.
- Speak in English please, and have a point to what you post. We reserve the right to delete any content that is unintelligible to our moderators, or doesn’t contribute anything of value to the conversation.
- Always listen to forum staff (they have the Director role), and let our team deal with rule breakers. If you notice a rule breaker, please let a staff member know and do not engage the rule breaker. If you notice a Director in the process of moderating, please give them space to handle the situation without being interrupted.
- Abide by the MUC’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy and Social Media Use Policy.
